Scope of Work
- The English Language Facilitator will be responsible for the following:
- Design and prepare lesson plans, training materials, and learning activities for the Basic English Communication for Hospitality and Service Work course in accordance with the TUI Academy 2 curriculum and project objectives.
- Deliver a total of 60 hours of interactive, learner-centred English training to project participants according to the approved training schedule.
- Conduct pre-training and post-training assessments to evaluate participants' English language proficiency and learning progress.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and participatory learning environment that encourages active engagement and builds participants' confidence in using English in hospitality and service settings.
- Integrate practical workplace communication, customer service scenarios, role plays, and other experiential learning methods into the training sessions.
- Monitor participants' attendance, participation, and learning progress, and provide constructive feedback and additional support where appropriate.
- Coordinate closely with the Project Coordinator and the SOYEE Programme team to ensure smooth implementation of the training programme and timely communication regarding schedules, participant progress, and any emerging issues.
- Submit lesson plans, attendance records, assessment results, and a final training report, including participant achievements, challenges, and recommendations for future improvement.
- Ensure that all training activities are implemented in accordance with Plan International Thailand's policies, including Child Safeguarding, Safeguarding Children and Young People, and Gender Equality and Inclusion principles.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in English, Education, Applied Linguistics, Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in teaching English or delivering English language training.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in designing and delivering capacity-building or training programmes related to the hospitality, tourism, or hotel industry.
- Experience in conducting training and capacity-building programmes in collaboration with government agencies, civil society organizations, educational institutions, and/or the private sector.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage young people from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience working with vulnerable youth or youth employment programmes will be considered an advantage.
- 9. Ethics and Child Safeguarding
- The consultant must adhere to Plan International’s Child Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct and ensure that all activities promote gender equality, inclusion, and child/youth protection.
- Payment will be made upon satisfactory completion of deliverables and submission of reports, as per the agreed schedule in the consultant’s contract.
